Our company’s story starts in 2008 when Mamuka Kvartskhava, a businessman from the city of Zugdidi, decided to share this local treasure with the world. He called the company Grand Nut and opened his family’s first processing plant in the village of Rukhi to begin distributing hazelnuts to companies throughout Europe.
Political and economic changes accelerated development in Georgia, which helped us quickly expand our client base. To meet the growing demands of high-end international buyers in Europe, we built a new ISO-certified processing facility from scratch in the nearby village of Natsuluku.
